Description:
This camp offers sailing instruction for beginners through advanced racers. It is taught on sailboats provided by Pontiac Sailing Education Foundation on Cass Lake by US Sailing Association Certified Instructors. The purpose of this camp is to help youth feel comfortable and confident while building sailing skills. It includes water safety, parts of a sailboat, wind direction, basic sailing direction and knots. The majority of the camp time is spent gaining experience on the water. Participants need to bring a life jacket, towel, sunscreen, lunch, two snacks, refillable water bottle and a bathing suit daily.
Please note that all participants must be able to swim at least 25 yards unassisted and tread water for at least two minutes.

In order to register for a camp we must receive all camp *forms and payment. Once your waivers are processed you will receive an email confirmation. At that point you can register for camps online or give us a call for assistance. All forms can be found at www.wbparks.org/camps.
*Camp forms must be either emailed (camps@wbparks.org), dropped off at the office or drop box (4640 Walnut Lake Rd.) or faxed (248-738-2529).
