Description:
Join GWBHS and WB Parks for a trip to The Lace Museum and historic Mill Race Village, in Northville. The Lace Museum features a visual feast of treasures – from a 19th-century Edwardian wedding gown made of Belgian lace to an orange Victorian walking dress. The curator, Mary Salmon, opened the museum to honor the unsung makers behind the intricate handcraft. The 1,000 square foot space curates collars, tablecloths and assorted American and European lace. An additional stop includes a docent-led walking tour of the historic Mill Race Village. Please note: all buildings are handicapped accessible. Lunch is included at Tirami Su.
SMART Bus pickup and return is available for this trip.
